Privacy Policy

Higher Genius is a source-first media archive and content operation for work about mystics, visionaries, and altered states of consciousness. This policy explains how we handle information from this website and from connected publishing and analytics tools, including Pinterest-connected accounts that we own or operate.

Information we collect

We may collect basic technical information when you visit the site, such as pages requested, timestamps, browser or device information, referring pages, and security logs. If newsletter, contact, or feedback features are enabled, we collect the information you choose to submit through those features.

For connected Pinterest accounts, we may collect account and profile metadata, board names and identifiers, pin identifiers, titles, descriptions, destination URLs, media references, publishing timestamps, and available organic performance metrics such as impressions, saves, clicks, outbound clicks, engagement rate, and time-series analytics. We may also store internal campaign labels, content references, and attribution data used to understand which Higher Genius content is gaining traction.

When an account is connected through OAuth or a similar authorization flow, we store the access credentials needed to operate the integration. We do not collect or store Pinterest passwords.

How we use information

We use information to operate the site, secure our systems, publish or schedule owned content, read account and post performance, understand audience interest, improve titles and descriptions, and plan future Higher Genius episodes or marketing campaigns. Analytics may be used to compare topics, people, boards, pins, and traffic sources so we can decide what content to create or promote next.

We may use automated and AI-assisted tools to organize, summarize, classify, or recommend changes to content and marketing metadata. Human operators remain responsible for publishing decisions and privacy-related requests.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We do not sell Pinterest API data. We may share information with service providers that help us host the site, store data, run analytics, secure infrastructure, or operate publishing workflows. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to investigate abuse or security issues.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as it is useful for the purposes described above or as required for legal, operational, audit, or security reasons. We use reasonable safeguards to protect account credentials and operational data, including access controls and secure storage for tokens or similar credentials.

Your choices

If you connected a Pinterest account, you can revoke the app's access from your Pinterest account settings. You can also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or disconnection of information associated with an account we operate, subject to legal and operational limits.

Children

Higher Genius is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site, publishing workflows, or integrations change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
